Every term, in plain English

Classical Bazi names can sound alarming in translation — Seven Killings has never harmed anyone. Here is every term Acuraly uses: what it means in your life, and the classical name it translates.

Day Master

The 'you' at the center of the map — the element and character everything else is read against.

In traditional Bazi, the Day Master is the stem of your birth day. Acuraly presents it as your Core Element.

Balancing Energy

Your balancing direction — the qualities, environments, and pacing that steady your pattern.

In traditional Bazi this is called the Useful Element. It does not change fate; it names the direction that already fits you best. A supportive direction, not a lucky charm.

The spouse palace

How closeness actually feels once someone is in your life — distinct from what draws you in the first place.

In traditional Bazi, the Day branch is the spouse palace. Contrasting it with the partner star names a workable relationship theme — never a prediction about a person.

The Challenge star

Pressure that sharpens you — the part of your pattern that grows through demands and high stakes.

In traditional Bazi this is Seven Killings — a name that sounds alarming but means intensity and drive, never literal harm.

The Output star

Where your energy naturally pours out — making, expressing, producing something visible.

One of the Ten Gods in traditional Bazi. When a chart has a strong Output star, expression is how pressure leaves the system.

The Mentor star

Support that comes through guidance, study, and people who know more than you in a specific domain.

In traditional Bazi this is the Direct Resource star — it describes how support and learning reach you.

The Insight star

Understanding that comes from experience and reflection rather than textbooks.

In traditional Bazi this is the Indirect Resource star — a quieter, more intuitive way of being nourished.

The Free-Expression star

A burst of unfiltered voice — speaking up, publishing, performing, saying it your way.

In traditional Bazi this is called Hurting Officer — a severe-sounding name for expression and originality, never harm.

The Steady-Wealth star

Resource-building through consistency — turning work into reliable, accumulating results.

In traditional Bazi this is the Direct Wealth star. In a man's chart it is traditionally also read as the partner star.

The Windfall-Wealth star

Opportunistic resource energy — quick openings, agile moves, money that arrives sideways rather than on schedule.

In traditional Bazi this is the Indirect Wealth star, traditionally also linked to the father figure. A texture of opportunity, not a promise.

The Rival star

Competitive peer energy — testing yourself against others, sharing and contending for the same resources.

In traditional Bazi this is called Rob Wealth — it describes competition and boldness, not theft or loss.

The Companion star

Peer energy — standing shoulder-to-shoulder, self-reliance, wanting equals rather than bosses.

In traditional Bazi this is the Friend/Shoulder star — allies who share your element and steady you.

The Warrior Edge

The drive that sharpens under pressure — courage, decisiveness, and doing your best work when something is at stake.

In traditional Bazi this is called Seven Killings, which sounds severe but describes pressure-handling and decisive action — intensity, never literal harm.

The Creator

The drive to make things — craft, expression, and enjoying the process itself, not just the result.

In traditional Bazi this is the Output star (classically 'the gourmet god of output'). It marks where making things restores you.

The Seeker

A pull toward unconventional insight — learning from lived experience and depth beyond the mainstream.

In traditional Bazi this is the Indirect Resource star. It describes how you learn and make meaning, not a fate.

Structured Duty

The drive toward responsibility, order, and earning trust by being reliable.

In traditional Bazi this is the Direct Officer star — the part of a chart that carries standards and rules well.

Supportive Resource

The drive to learn, be nourished, and draw on wisdom and support — the chart's inner refueling line.

In traditional Bazi this is the Direct Resource star, traditionally also read as the mother figure's influence.

The Rebel Voice

Original expression that questions rules which feel arbitrary — saying the thing others won't.

In traditional Bazi this is called Hurting Officer, which sounds harsh but describes expression and originality — voice, never harm.

The Pathfinder

The drive to spot openings and move resources with agility — quick, opportunity-shaped energy.

In traditional Bazi this is the Indirect Wealth star — resourcefulness and timing, not a promise of money.

Seven Killings

The classical name of the pressure drive — intensity and decisive action under demand.

The literal translation sounds alarming; it has always described pressure-handling and courage, never harm. Acuraly calls it the Warrior Edge.

Hurting Officer

The classical name of the free-expression drive — original, rule-questioning voice.

A severe-sounding literal translation; it describes expression and originality, never harm. Acuraly calls it the Rebel Voice.

The Hermit's Canopy

A natural comfort in your own company — depth, solitude, and a pull toward philosophy or art.

A traditional marker (Hua Gai). It enriches the inner world; the balance is carrying that depth outward, not retreating into it.

The Blade

A fierce, double-edged drive — real force that works best aimed outward into making and building.

A traditional marker (Yang Ren). It describes intensity that asks for discipline in how it's wielded — drive, not danger.

The Travel Horse

Movement energy — relocation, changing ground, a life that shifts terrain more than most.

A traditional marker (Yi Ma). It flavors a life chapter with motion; it never schedules a move.

The Noble Helper

Support that arrives through experienced people at the right moment.

A traditional marker (Tian Yi). Read it as 'help is easier to reach here' — a texture of support, not a rescue guarantee.
